Window treatment help for 3 odd sized living room windows. all on one wall and measure 47"W x 20"L?
the windows are west facing each are trimmed with 3.5" moulding and are 2" apart (moulding to moulding), they share one window sill that measures 13 feet 6.5 inches accross a 16 foot wall. The windows begin 13 inches from the 9 foot ceiling and end at 5 feet from the floor. The windows are bare, so privacy is an issue. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
I'm getting a vision of a long drape with a shear under it. For some reason a maroon color struck me. Something on a long pole with wooden rings...
But, I think doing something as if it was one long window would be better than if you treated them individually. With almost a 14 foot span, I would say make it two sections. Get a large sized wood round from Home Depot or Lowes, stain it a nice dark mahogany with a gloss finish. They have decorative iron looking rod hangers that you can use to hold it in place. During the day, the drapes could be pushed to either side with the shear hanging under to offer privacy.
