Can I bake a cake in the Glass bowl used for serving pudding ?
I have an IFB convection oven. It has auto mode for baking a cake (It takes 50 mins in the auto mode). I haven't got the microware !! Just a plastic set for use in the oven as complimetary gift !! Please advise me as to which utensil can i use ?? REPLY URGENTLY !!
I don't think you should use plastic in the oven or microwave, since the plastic can melt during baking and contaminate your cakes.
Usually I bake with either a glass dish or a non-stick dish. What do you mean by pudding dish exactly? A deep pudding dish? Never tried it, but if it's glass, it may work!
This site has guidelines to which pans are best to bake cakes in. Good luck.
