Can you dye nylon? or satin?
I want to dye a nylon slip dress and was wondering if it would be possible. Ideally, I want to obtain quite a rich, deep red but I don't know if the fabric will take the dye.
I could also dye a satin dress if this is any easier?
I'm a dyeing novice :S

Possibly, but the texture would be different to what a normal dye's effect would look like. This is the information i was able to gather.
"Nylon, a synthetic fiber also sometimes labeled as polyamide, can be dyed with either of two completely different dye classes, acid dyes and disperse dyes."
So it's best if you buy acid dyes or disperse dye.
