Buying The Right Electric Double Oven For Your Needs
An electric double oven is a great choice for many homes, Its increased cooking area and multi function facilities offer the user a range choice when cooking.
There is nothing as annoying when cooking a large meal and not having enough oven space, this caused food being cooked at different times.
They are a popular choice and depending on the model you get, some great energy savings can be made.
Double ovens are fantastic if you do a lot of cooking and entertaining.They allow you to cook a greater amount of food. You can cook different foods at the same time and at different temperatures, or keep food warm while the rest of the food cooks. You normally get a grill in the second oven too.
Double cookers usually have a capacity of around 70 to 80 litres, the standing width is generally 60cm, but freestanding ovens can be as wide as 90c.
Don't let wide models fool you into thinking more space, as they don't always offer more internal space.
Its best to make sure there is enough room for around a 5cm gap around the oven to prevent anything getting damaged by the heat given off by the oven

Usually in convectionals they have the thermostat controlling the heat in the middle, so its slightly hotter in the middle than other areas of the oven. They also need to be preheated.Fan assisted circulate the air around the ovens and food generally cooks faster in fan assisted ovens.

Replacing oven range hood with built in microwave - where does the electricity come from?
My husband and I recently bought a built in microwave to go over our stove. We currently have a range hood. The house is 11 yrs old and the range hood is directly hooked into wires coming through the wall as it's electrical source. The built-in has an actual plug. What is the best way to manage this? Do we seal off the wires, install the microwave, and plug it in a nearby plug (which I'm not sure it will reach...)? Or do we need a socket installed behind the built-in? Do we need an electrician?
