How can I fix my loose oven door glass?
The inner pane of glass on my 'double glazed' oven door is loose, meaning it's not working as efficiently as it should and smoke and food smells leak out of it more than they should.
Is there any cheap and easy way of reattaching the glass (is there an appropriate strong non-toxic glue?) or should I just bite the bullet and get a new oven fitted?
You may be able to purchase a high temperature silicone type sealant. You can run this around the inside glass to door gap to take up any looseness and seal any leak. (You'll need to get an applicator 'gun', it won't cost much). It might smell a little for a day or two but will cost a lot less than a new oven. When applying let the weight of the glass be away from the door so that you are filling the largest gap possible.
