What good does it bring to allow people to carry handguns into a Tennessee bar?
Legislation just passed that allows gun owners with permits to bring weapons into bars. Can someone please tell me how this benefits anyone? Nice. I used to think California was the most foolish state in the nation-I may have to rethink that. Tequila and guns. Great idea guys.

Your point of view is a little skewed. Check the statistics and you'll see. Licensed concealed weapons permit holders are not a problem. They rarely are the cause of trouble and almost never with their weapons. Unlicensed, untrained and illegal gun owners are almost always the problem. By disarming honest, law abiding people you are simply making them easier victims to those who are dangerous with a weapon.
Frankly, I'd rather have twenty concealed weapons holders in a bar than one illegal or untrained one. I'd feel a lot safer.
As an associated thought: Why is it that we have to train, test and be licensed to drive a car but anybody can buy a gun? Guns are not bad things, any more than cars are. Untrained people with guns are dangerous though.
